Lord, please go before us, to lead;

walk beside us, to befriend;

be above us, to protect;

stay behind us, to direct;

be beneath us, to support;

and enfold us in your love.

Let our friendships be strong, O Lord,

That they may become a blessing to others.

Let our friendship be open, O Lord,

That they may be a haven for others.

Let our friendship be gentle, O Lord,

That they may bring peace to others.
