Justice for Everyone Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ In your own life on earth, you took care to listen well to people,

especially the people who no one else bothered with.

You were passionate about seeking justice for everyone.

Give us wisdom when we need to make decisions.

Help us not to jump to conclusions but to try to hear both sides,

giving everyone a chance to speak.

And when we get it wrong, give us the humility and courage to say sorry.

Amen

Father God,

your Son Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.

In his resurrection he restores life and peace in all creation.

In a world of sadness and tears, show us your joy.

In a world of hatred, show us your love.

In a world of despair, give us hope. In a world of disbelief, give us faith.

Give us the power in your world to make a difference and stand up for justice.
